Cheerleader Outfit Info

Cheerleader Outfits are outfits or uniforms that are worn by girls for a school team such as basketball. The cheerleader outfits are make up of the teams school colors. The outfits usually have the letters H and S on them which stand for high school. These letters are usually sewn onto the outfit. The outfits consist of some sort of top and skirt. The earlier cheerleader outfits were worn with knee highs and saddles shoes. Often the skirts were made of a plaid material. As time progressed the cheerleader outfits did too. In most cases an extra letter was added to the top of the outfit usually a letter from the cheerleaders name or even the first name was put on it. Cheerleading was considered to be a very high honor in high schools. Wearing a cheerleading outfits also meant you were very popular in school. In the 1070′s cheerleaders were wearing tennis shoes. The outfits were tighter and some people looked at them as very improper to wear. In the 1089′s slouch socks were worn along with kids tennis shoes. The skirts got shorter and bike shorts were worn underneath the skirts. Today’s uniforms are mostly made from polyester and spandex. The tops are sleeveless and tank tops are worn underneath. Skirts are very short and are worn over the top of spandex type briefs. The briefs often have some type of animal or bird sewn on them representing the school. This is known as the team logo.
